Why I Started Shenmag
I know what happens when health takes a backseat.
I lost both my parents to smoking-related illnesses. I was my father’s caregiver in his final months, watching the slow, painful consequences of years of poor lifestyle choices. That experience changed everything.
It made me rethink how I wanted to live the rest of my life.
I decided to make ageing a power move, not a passive process.
That’s why I quit my corporate career, immersed myself in neuroscience and brain health, and became a certified Brain Health & Life Coach. I trained at the Académie Européenne des Neurosciences, The Brain Academy, Amen University, and Mindvalley — not just to transform my own future, but to help other women do the same.
Now I’m building Shenmag, a space for real, science-backed insights into brain health, ageing, and reinvention. Without fear-mongering or anti-ageing gimmicks.
Facing the Challenges
Starting over wasn’t easy. Leaving behind a secure career to step into a world that still sidelines midlife women? Daunting.
I also see how the wellness industry either infantilises women or sells them expensive “fixes” for problems that were never there in the first place.
The biggest challenge? Cutting through the noise.
Finding a way to talk about ageing that feels empowering, strategic, and honest. A way that isn’t about turning back the clock, but about future-proofing your brain, body, and mindset for the long game.

I don’t see midlife as a period of loss but as the exact opposite, a period of gain!
I trained in brain health, lifestyle transformation, and emotional resilience. Not just to help myself, but to build a roadmap for other women navigating this space.
